You definitely should play the Powerwash Sim 40k dlc, you play as a Mechanicus guy charged with the Rites of Cleansing, and the vehicles are literally the tabletop models, very fun!

Heads up for the stream: WH40K Minis are usually painted in layers and need time to dry between. I'd advise either painting multiple models or prep your model until you only need to paint the details.
My favorite bit about Necron lore is how they overthrew their masters near the end of the War in Heaven and turned them into batteries and Pokemon. Destroying a C'Tan will affect the physical realm so they shattered the rest.
