Where Dante has styles for combat tools. Nero gets attacks/arms but each one has generic combat value & a unique purpose. like having i-frames on shuffle to dodge damage or chase airborne with calibur

FYI that big move in SDT consume ALL the bar & does more damage based on how much of the bar it consumes if you use it with barely any bar it'll do less damage still good though

there was DMC4 side material that made Nero's lineage more obvious, but since it wasn't in-game there were still a small section of fans who held out against it for...reasons? DMC5 made it undeniable
Surprisingly, DMC5 is a story around Vergil (even its name 5=V).The main plot can be summarized as V(Vergil) hired his son and his brother to help him beat Urizen(Vergil) so he can become Vergil again
So to clarify. V is 90 percent Vergil with all his memories but weak cause he initially favored his demon side more. Urizen is 10 percent Vergil with only his desire to gain power and defeat Dante.

To clarify:The demonic trio of Gryphon, Shadow, and Nightmare are physical representations of Vergils trauma from his time as Nelo Angelo. Hence why they can’t kill cause they aren’t actually real.
If you ever get the chance try out the mod that replaces the track for Mission 19 with Fire Inside from DMC: Peak of Combat. No hate to the OG BGM but that song just fits the vibe so much better.
